Flying penguin now offer a drop shipping service to many of its business customers.
For those of you that don’t know what drop shipping is, here is a definition:
“Drop Shipping means having your supplier (such as flying penguin), pack and ship the goods directly to your customer - in your name.”
The main benefits of drop shipping are;
- No up front capital investment (stock)
- No handling packaging and shipping of goods
- No risk of unsold inventory
- No space or stock limitations
- No hassle!
All you need to do is advertise your chosen products either in a catalogue, on a website, eBay or other auction site and create sales, we will do the rest.
How does it work?
1. You sign up for a Standard account or a Premium Drop Shipper account with Flying Penguin;
2. You choose electronics products from Flying Penguin that you think will sell;
3. You decide your own pricing and list the products for sale in your online shop, on eBay, in your local newspaper - anywhere you can sell to interested buyers;
4. When you get an order, you collect payment from your buyer first, and then place the order with Flying Penguin for the goods;
5. Flying Penguin delivers the products directly to your customer;
6. Your buyer receives the goods "from you" and you have another happy customer, ready to buy again from you in the future!
There are a couple of different ways that you can open a Drop Shippers account with flying penguin.
1. Earn your discount – you can sign up for a standard account with us but when you place multiple orders we will offer you discount coupons. The more orders you place the higher the discount goes.
2. Or, you can sign up for a Premium Drop Shipper account. This will give you instant discount on our published prices, making it easier for you to get going, the same will still apply as option 1, the more orders you place the higher the discount goes, you will just get a head start.
The current sign up fee for a Premium Drop Shipper account is £49.95, this will take you straight to Level 1 discount of 5% off all our published prices and will count as 10 orders throughout the discount structure.
We have 5 discount levels available for Drop Shippers:
- Discount Level 1 - 5% - After 10 orders or by signing for a Premium account
- Discount Level 2 - 10% - After 25 orders (or 15 for premium account holders)
- Discount Level 3 - 15% - After 75 orders or orders to the value of £10,000
- Discount Level 4 - 20% - After 200 orders or orders to the value of £30,000
- Discount Level 5 - 25% - After 300 orders or orders to the value of £50,000
